A unique perspective

Very few experiences are comparable to viewing the world from the upper foliage of a 35-metre tall, 500-year-old Scots pine.

Take all the time you need to enjoy this exhilarating perspective. We’ll help you with your photos and videos, ensuring that each magical moment is captured, leaving you to bask in the surrounding natural beauty at your leisure.

Be part of something bigger

Capercaillie and wildcat were once widespread across Scotlands’s forests - today, they are critically endangered.  Apex predators, including lynx, wolves, wild boar, and brown bears, once roamed our landscapes, keeping tree-hungry deer populations in check. They were all hunted to extinction.

Before this extinction event and before mass deforestation initiatives, most of Scotland was covered in forest. Swathes of Scots pine, birch, rowan, aspen and juniper once covered our lands. Only 4% of Scotland’s native forest remains today.

At The Tree Experience, we passionately support Scotland’s rewilding projects and the restoration of our native forest habitats. This, in turn, helps to conserve fragile species, including wildcats and pine martins.

Our guests will be able to learn about Scotland’s natural history and its possible future from passionate experts. They will also be able to witness first-hand the measures many private landowners take to protect young native trees and encourage rewilding.

For each booking, we make a donation to our carefully selected Scottish rewilding project partners.

“Finland is officially the world’s happiest country. It is also 75 per cent forest. I believe these facts are related.”
