THE TREE EXPERIENCE
Fàilte (welcome)
Arrive at today’s exclusive location, where our founder Stevie will be ready and waiting to greet you.
After a brief introduction and informative tour of the surrounding private land, Stevie and our team will guide you into the forest and to our climbing spot.
Before climbing, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing and and overview of the day ahead.
Climb
Stevie will take the time to explain how to use your tree climbing equipment.
We have a variety of adjustable and adaptable gear, which means that just about anyone will be able to ascend and descend all trees safely (if you have any concerns around mobility, please get in touch).
Once you’re comfortable with everything, it’s time to begin your ascent into the tree canopy. You will be encouraged to take things slowly and enjoy the experience at your own pace.
Discover
As you ascend further into the canopy, Stevie will be there alongside you ensuring you feel safe and comfortable. He will also take the opportunity to tell you about the tree you are climbing and the surrounding woodland.
Once you are secure and settled in the furthest reaches of the tree, look around. Few people will ever experience the forest from this extraordinary perspective. Sit back, relax and take in this very special moment.
Discuss
Descending from the canopy is just as thrilling as the climb up – and just like the climb, you’re encouraged to abseil back down at your own pace.
When you are safely back on the forest floor, enjoy some relaxation as we chat casually about the climb and forest.
This is a great time to ask Stevie any questions you have about Scottish natural history, tree climbing or anything else that springs to mind. Once you are refreshed, we’ll head out for our final tree climb of the day.
Mar sin leat (farewell)
Our last tree climb will most likely be the biggest of the day. Now that you have a good feel for what life is like in the canopy, this is the perfect climb for really making the most of your experience.
In your relaxed state, you might find that you’re a little more curious or chatty. Or perhaps you’d prefer to have this moment to yourself as you really tune in to that connection with nature.
Once you’ve reached the highest point of the day, get comfortable and take in your incredible surroundings one last time.
